October Is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), also known in the United States as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM), is observed every October 1–31.

This annual international health campaign is dedicated to increasing awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection, screening, and diagnosis. Throughout the month, organizations also raise funds to support research into the causes, prevention, treatment, and cure of breast cancer.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month also provides education, resources, and support for individuals and families affected by breast cancer. The pink ribbon is widely recognized as the symbol of breast cancer awareness.
